C1q and Tumor Necrosis Factor Related Protein 9 (CTRP9) is an adiponectin paralog that has been identified as possessing significant biological activities. CTRP9, also known as C1QTNF9, C1QTNF9A, AQL1, or Complement C1q and tumor necrosis factor-related protein 9A, is a member of the C1q/tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-related protein family. It is an adipose-derived cytokine that shares similar metabolic regulatory functions with adiponectin.CTRP9 exhibits a range of biological properties, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, vasodilatory, and atheroprotective effects. It has been shown to inhibit apoptosis of endothelial cells, decrease blood glucose levels, and increase insulin sensitivity.| Typical data
